Zadar

  • Zadar Croatia

The city of Zadar is the pearl of northern Dalmatia.Due to its Mediterranean climate and rich historical and cultural background, Zadar attracts many tourists.
One of the advantages of taking a holiday in Zadar is that everything can be reached by foot. It is also in the vicinity of the airport (9 km) so it is directly connected to all major cities in Croatia.
Zadar abounds with natural beauties and historical sites such as St Donat's Church (a symbol of Zadar built in the 9th century), St Stasija's Cathedral (the biggest church in Dalmatia) and many others. Some of the most interesting places to see in Zadar are the Museum of Ancient Glass (where you can witness the process of making glass), the Sea Organ (where you can enjoy the sounds they make with the help of the waves and the tide) and the Greeting to the Sun (300 multi-layered glass plates with photo-voltage solar modules which enable you to experience “the most beautiful sunset in the world“, as once Alfred Hitchcock described it). Once in Zadar, make sure to try its original local liqueur Maraschino and take a stroll around one of the most interesting  marketplaces  on the coast.
